Problems |
In the interests of speed and convenience, electric pallet trucks are sometimes equipped with driver's platforms, typically in the loading and unloading area. This speeds up processes without compromising the pallet truck's flexibility. As a result however, the driver is subjected to greater stresses in the form of shock and vibration, particularly when ridges and loading ramps must be negotiated. |

Solution |
Crown's Flexride(TM) driver's platform has a decoupled suspension that is connected to the machine body through a spring and shock absorber system, in addition to the main vehicle suspension. This system absorbs more shocks that would otherwise be transmitted to the driver. Ideal damping is achieved by the facility for the spring strength to be adjusted to the weight of the driver. |
